History
The Blue Ridge Disc Golf Club was formed by a group of people interested in disc golf who wanted to bring the sport to Central Virginia. The group had its first formal meeting on February 8, 2002, and decided on its charter and rules and voted in its first officers. The club has constructed four courses:
Club members have also been involved in designing and building several of Virginia's disc golf courses; Staunton's Kiwanis Course (public), Piedmont Valley Community College (public), Blue Ridge School (private), Shenandoah County Park (public), and Williamsburg's New Quarter Park (public).
